Wineries sit on Classic with farms, breweries, distilleries, and attractions. Harvest Hosts does not split a public winery count. Filter the map by host type after you join.
The purchase is the stay
Official language, not a posted camping fee. How-it-works: “Never pay camping fees for your first night’s stay. Instead, we ask that you purchase something from your Host as a thank you.” Same FAQ: that purchase is “their only compensation.” Harvest Hosts takes no cut. They suggest a $30 minimum. That is a suggestion, not a $30 ticket.
Request the stay ahead. Arrive during business hours. If the host lets you arrive after hours, buy something the next morning before you go.
If you don’t drink
Plans FAQ: yes. “Wineries and breweries are packed with local food, goods, and gift-shop finds — and there are thousands of farms, museums, attractions, and other non-alcoholic Hosts.” How-it-works: buy a gift or a different product, or skip to those other hosts.
Self-contained, indoor cooking, no tents
Interior toilet and onboard waste tanks. Cooking happens inside; outdoor cooking on host property is prohibited. Tents, rooftop tents, cars, and SUVs are out. Help article updated June 29, 2026.
Hookups
How-it-works: electric, water, and sewer are not guaranteed at any host. Some sell electric as an extra; filter for it. Dry camping is the default. This is not a KOA night.
